Antonio Romero: A life of dedication

Valencian designer and creator with more than 50 years at the forefront of an ideal: creating small works of art, which they call jewels, and which flow from their imagination as if they were something as natural as breathing.

In his most associative and institutional aspect, we will point out that he has been Founder and President of the Círculo de Estilistas (1985), Vice President (1987) and President (1989) of the International Jewelry Fair of Valencia, and Master Major of the Guild of Jewelers and Silversmiths of Valencia from 1987 to the present.

She has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work, including countless exhibitions, including the “Gold in Fashion” exhibition at the Joan Miró Museum (Barcelona), the Universal Exhibition in Seville, the “A Century of Spanish Jewelry and Costume Jewelry 1890-1990” exhibition in Mallorca, and her participation in numerous books such as “Discovery,” a book paying tribute to the innovation of artisans from the Valencian Community on the 5th centenary of the discovery of America, creating an exclusive bracelet of great originality and beauty called “Seas like Blue Sapphires” for the occasion. Regarding her awards, we can only mention a few, such as the “De Beers Prestige Solo Award” (1981), the De Beers Surrealism Award in 1983, the “Gold Second Prize” awarded by Intergold in the “Brindis Iberjoa85” competition, and in 1987 the “Second Intergold Prize” at Iberjoya, and the most recent 2005 Craftsmanship Award awarded by the Valencia Chamber of Commerce and presented personally by the very honourable President of the Generalitat, Mr. Francisco Camps, for the “El Brillo es Rosa” earrings, a modern creation with stylised lines made of white gold, diamonds and kunzites.
